How is Airlift Coffee roasted?

We pride ourselves on the art of manual roasting. Rather than relying on automated electronic profiles, our roast masters use sight, smell, and sound to ensure every batch reaches its peak flavor potential. This hands-on approach allows us to adjust for the unique characteristics of every bean in a highly-variable environment.  Of course, we check our work with calibrated roast depth and humidity meters.

How fresh is the coffee when it ships?

We roast in small batches to ensure maximum freshness. Your coffee is typically roasted and shipped within 48 to 72 hours of your order, arriving at your door ready to brew.  FYI – we don’t ship sooner because freshly-roasted coffee needs to completely off-gas before packaging.

Do you offer whole bean or ground coffee?

We offer whole bean coffee.  There are so many ways to brew coffee that we can’t possibly grind to perfection for everyone.  We highly recommend grinding just before brewing to capture the full flavor of the coffee.

Where do you ship?

We ship nationwide across the United States, including APO/FPO/DPO addresses. We make it a priority to ensure our coffee reaches our service members stationed overseas.

Can I set up a recurring subscription?

Yes. You can choose your favorite roast and delivery frequency so you never run out of "fuel." Subscriptions can be paused or canceled at any time through your account portal.

What is your return policy?

Because coffee is a perishable food item, we cannot accept returns. However, if there is an issue with your order or you are unhappy with your experience, please reach out to us. We stand by our product and will make it right.

What is the best way to store Airlift Coffee?

Keep your beans in a cool, dark place in an airtight container. Avoid the refrigerator or freezer, as moisture and fluctuating temperatures can degrade the quality of the manual roast.

What brewing method do you recommend?
